Jason's Review

With our stellar reviews of Monster Energy XXL and Monster Energy Lo-Carb, in sharp contrast to our dreadful reviews of Omega Energy and Rumba Energy Juice, this one was completely up in the air. Could Monster make an energy juice that didn't taste like spider monkey excrement? Sadly, no. This one is as riddled with Del Monte snack pack pineapple and aluminum mélange flavor as the other juice drinks. Maybe if this came in a bottle? I don't know, but it's rancid. I was reminded of my younger days, when I used to put quarters and nickels in my mouth (I wasn't the brightest child).

Anyway, so, we've established that juice from a can tastes like the can, much like how Michelina's microwave dinners all taste like the box in which they were cooked, but was it energizing? Firstly, it has an impressive lineup of vitamins, and otherwise appears to have about the same energizing blend as the other Monster drinks. All-in-all, good, but you have to suffer through a lot of the taste to get the same kick as one of the much tastier Monster drinks.

Guests's Review

In the past I've been pretty impressed with Monster products so I had high hopes for this product even though juice-like energy drinks just haven't sat very well will me. I only assume that the beverage is an orange flavored one because once again the label does not specify. I've had some trouble deciding whether I should shake juice-like energy drinks or not. This apparently is not one that is to be shaken.

Upon opening I was overwhelmed with nasty old juice aroma mixed with aluminum. Definitely not the best beginning... Fortunately the taste was not as bad as the smell that wafted out in the beginning, but it was really hard to place the flavor. There was a hint of the original Monster flavor but there was also a thick pineapple taste also. It was slightly carbonated, but that faded very fast, and as it slightly warmed, became thicker and thicker. Not that I'm one to just let an energy drink sit for a long time, but this one seemed to get warm and pasty exponentially faster than most.

It did give me a pretty good kick and I think it should because of the ingredients it contains. Though it wasn't extremely high in sugar it felt like it was on my teeth. The ingredients were very similar to the original Monster, except the sodium is surprising much lower in this one. This would be a much better choice for someone who appreciates the 70% of real juice.

While I'm not a fan of Monster Energy drinks in general, I figured that since they were on sale for $1.78 at walmart I'd pick it up. There were 4-5 different types to choose from, and I chose Khaos because I hated the original flavor and didnt know which to choose.

The taste of it is like a pineapple-orange juice mix. Not bad but to me its very sweet. And has a slight after taste. If fruity things are your thing this is for you.
Guttelutten@2012-12-10 15:27:34
I have only tried Monster Khaos once, but I will make no more attempts to taste it. It tasted like expired tropical juice mixed with some way to sweet tutti frutti candy. Just awful and sweet enough for my gag reflex to react almost before it hit my taste buds. It is something i wouldn't even drink if i was about to die from dehydration. Worst energy drink to ever be produced...
Rayne@2012-12-05 16:36:01
Well I tried Monster Khaos for the first time yesterday, it was great!:) Until I started breaking out in hives...

Khaos is my morining routine..! Now let me contextualize that statement; 1. I do not/ WILL NOT drink store bought juices-especially orange. 2. A caffeinated (*sp?) beverage must be consumed upon waking. 3. Waiting inline @ say *bucks is soul crushing, cursing the newbie tourist who always seems to get there 10seconds b4 u and holds up the line cuz they've never been to a coffeshop and/or have to order 25 drinks for every1 on the bus. Soo, a drink that tackles these problems is life changing. Taste.. for apprx $2 I get to skip the lines/waits, get some juice in am, and avoid the groggies is routinely provided by monster. TY. Lowcarb keeps me outa trouble the remaining hrs of the day.

I think the original monster, the low carb, and one of the Java (can't remember which, there's a few) will always be my favorites, but the Khaos is still pretty good, I guess. I've found I have a pretty high tolerance for caffeine though, and one Monster isn't quite enough. Any other energy drinks that are like Monster that have more energy? Or is it healthy to drink two Monsters, one after the other? Keep in mind I'm a twelve year old girl, and not exactly sure what would be the best for my health...Response by Jason: Of course, I can't recommend a 12 year old drink energy drinks, the obligatory response is that you should talk to a doctor, who will call down fire and brimstone for you drinking energy drinks, while he/she writes you a prescription for Adderall. In short, stay away from the plastic knife and play with the long as the doctor writes it on a piece of paper.

of coz u wont put my previous comment on...lmao! "depending on approval" no wonder theres no bad commenrs on ther.

Response by Jason: No, there's plenty of "bad commenrs", we just don't approve the grade school "energy drinks will kill you" commenrs, or commenrs about what people have done/intend to do to our moms. Lastly, and this also applies to your commenr that we didn't had nothing to do with Monster Khaos.

The best of the Monster Energy Drinks.

Carla@2011-02-01 10:36:23
I love Monster Khaos. I have chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I can't get through a day without a Khaos for breakfast. My biggest complaint is that it is so hard to find in a regular grocery store.
Jason Hansen@2011-01-26 15:20:47
I Love Monster Khaos! It tastes great, the buzz is perfect, and I can drink it all day long, the flavor never gets old.
chris@2011-01-13 12:19:36
Its like normal monster in effect but it strait tastes like fruit punch... on crack.
Jill@2010-10-21 18:02:31
I am ADDICTED to Monster Khaos! I call it..."my precious," LMAO, I hate that around here you cant find it in the really big cans anymore. I wish it were more carbonated, but its still a great drink, I give it 10 outa 10 :)
kev@2010-10-08 13:01:41

Andrew@2010-09-24 12:48:41
I did like Monster Khaos. To me it was a tasted like carbonated fruit juice but thicker and sweeter. It did leave my mouth feeling a tad dry, maybe from all the sugar. But nothing can ever compare to the original.
joyce@2010-09-23 14:12:10
Love Khaos Energy Drink. Have tried all the others and red bull and I do not like them. Have to go to distributing plant every month to buy case.
Jesse@2010-09-15 12:26:46

Scrumdidiliumpshus@2010-08-31 15:56:15
I really enjoyed Monster Khaos Juice, it filled me with a rush while having a tangy and bubbly taste!
Ananymous@2010-08-09 11:05:25
I think monster khaos tastes very good compared to other brands. It has more of a pineapple-orange juice flavor. and it says whats in it under the ingredients. Still monster is probably the best at engineering new drinks that taste good.
ghostmachine@2010-08-02 15:07:11
Monster Khaos is like liquid cocaine. This drink gets me jacked up. I had energy for over 4 hours. It's kind of scary actually.
Ryan@2010-07-19 16:46:33
Monster Khaos Energy Juice is like the best energy drink ever but I thought it tasted more like oranges though. I got up at 8:00 this morning and I drank this and it is 11:00 at night and I am still buzzed up like a battery!!:o:):P
Cody@2010-06-30 13:24:05
Khaos is not quite as good as normal monster, but it's still really good, it doesn't taste quite as... heavy.
Adam Kellar@2010-06-17 11:28:28
I'm so glad there's many people that don't like Monster Khaos, because that leaves plenty for the rest of us that do!

I love this drink, my favorite energy drink of late.
