Bawls Guaranexx is a sugar free version of the original Bawls Guarana energy drink. This highly caffeinated beverage derives its sweet yet spicy flavor from the legendary Guarana berry of the Amazonian Rainforest. Guarana, which contains a naturally occurring form of caffeine, has been used for centuries by the Indians of the Amazon providing them with an energy boost.
Bawls Guaranexx comes in the same 10oz bottle as the original Bawls, except Guaranexx is clear. Both bottles are studded with nubs all around the grip area. I suppose these are for easy gripping, in which case they are a success as I haven?t dropped a single bottle of Bawls yet. Or perhaps they are just ribbed for my pleasure.
Active Ingredients *Per can, not per serving:
An undisclosed amount of guarana and caffeine.

I?ve always assumed that people make beverages in hopes that they will be appreciated for taste. That was before I drank this energy drink. Bawls Guaranexx is so bland that the only taste is the artificial sweetener that becomes very apparent at the end of drink. It was almost like watered down Zima. I remember Zima was the hot stuff for a little while. For some strange reason people loved it even though it tasted like watered down Sprite.
When I drank this I was in Delaware taking advantage of the lack of sales tax at some of the strip malls. If some of you are familiar with Rehoboth Beach you?ll know that the surrounding area is all farmland, so the air is thick with horse and/or cow excrement. Now I think that even an average tasting beverage would pass for good at this point because everything else smells like doodoo. Even the smell of Jason wasn?t as offensive as he usually is.
On the plus side this is a sugar free, calorie free, carb free, and very low sodium beverage. If that is your thing then this is the drink for you. Not to mention you get a couple extra ounces more than your standard 8oz energy drink. I guess the clear bottle is a very good way to portray this drink. It is void of carbs, calories, sugar, and unfortunately, flavor.

2Jason's Review:
The bawls sugar free lacks something that the regular bawls has a tiny bit of, and that's taste. One of the biggest draws to the "blue bawls" for me, is the mild flavor, which makes it refreshing when served iced cold. The original tastes like sweet nectar from the Promised Land, and the sugar free tastes more like taking hits of sweet and low at a grateful dead concert. "Free love", they say, well, I'm not buyin' it. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the sugar free, even for diabetics; get the Sugar Free versions of Celeste, Rockstar, Monster, or Joker Mad enrgy drinks instead.
The energy seemed about the same, minus the sugar rush. This makes sense, since they still tout the sugar free version as "High Caffeine Guarana Soda"...but it comes at a high price...the taste.
We got these in Delaware, at $2 a piece, this is a horrible value, but the original Bawls can be procured in certain areas for less than $20/case, which contains 12 sodas. I've personally purchased cases at CompUSA for $16.99, which works out to about $1.40 per soda.

I like the sugar free version over the regular version mostly because there is less of a sugary after taste that lingers in my mouth. Also since there isn't any sugar it doesn't leave that film feeling on my teeth. I also like the flavor of Bawls Guaranexx much like everyone else, kind of has a cream-soda taste to, but not too strong, just kinda.

You're crazy! Bawls Guaranexx Sugar Free tastes great! My local Publix started carrying this lately so I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. It is delicious! I'm drinking a Red Bull right now because we have those at work, and I already drank the Bawls that I brought in -- and it's disgusting! It tastes like bananas or something. Sugar-free Bawls gives you a nice hit of caffeine without (a) the heat of coffee or (b) the sugar crash of other energy drinks. Perhaps you don't get the sugar high of regular Bawls, but it has 50% more caffeine and you don't crash. If you haven't tried Bawls sugar-free, you're missing out!

Ok, so the energy is not that high, but i do agree with the other review that the taste resembles a creme soda-ish flavor. I found Bawls Guaranexx to be rather enjoyable, and with so many terrible tasting sugar free energy drinks i found this to be a relief. If you want something sugar free and in a smaller size then you just might want to give this a shot. I was also able to find this locally for about $1.50 per bottle, so the value was not too terrible either.

Yes, I know it doesn't give you much energy but, i think Bawls Guaranexx is a bit like cream soda, and that's tasty, plus the bottle is cool...
