The earth gets energy from the sun. But where does it get its energy when the sun goes down? Vamp NRG!! How cool is that? The can is all black with red text and a big ad for Blade Trinity, which by the way was a bad movie, with the exception of Ryan Reynolds. He really knows how to save a crap movie.
Active Ingredients *Per can, not per serving:
Vamp is the carbonated supernatural energy drink with taurine, ginseng, guarana, key B vitamins, and caffeine.

This was too carbonated. I had no idea that was possible, but after every sip I had a huge burp. I don't mean that I felt like I might have to burp, but after every sip I definitely had to burp. It made my brain fizzle. I had to drink it very slowly because of this, which I wasn't too happy about.
The words energy and Vamp should not go together, because they certainly didn't come together in this can. I drank this can, then had a massage and almost fell asleep. I was very relaxed.
I think it was supposed to taste like cherry or black cherry flavor, but it was very light. I think I tasted more syrup than cherry. This was not refreshing at all. I did like that the drink was pink. I guess they were trying to make it red, like it was blood or something, but it came out more fuchsia. Which I don't have anything against, but I'm sure all the goth kids would be much happier if resembled real blood. I don't see why the folks at Vamp didn't make it look just like blood. Considering how thick and syrupy it was, I doubt it would be hard to make it so. In the end I think it's a great market. Get the goth involved. They need energy drinks too.
Some websites call this a mixer for alcoholic beverages, which I guess serves more of a purpose than drinking it by itself.

2Jason's Review:
Vamp pretty much lacked flavor completely. It was red, and that was true-to-form of something vampiritic. Of course to make this soda, I think they recovered the discarded portions of ICEEs at local shopping malls. (I think it's common knowledge that a good number of people throw away that bottom 10% because it tastes like ice, and the lowly watered-down remains of what once was a bold cherry flavored treat). Vamp tastes like the carbonated reincarnation of those pitiful ICEE remains (almost giving it a Dracula meets Frankenstein ICEE raised from the dead twist). All-in-all, it really is weak, not bad, just weak.
Also the can we purchased was basically a cheap plug for the Blade Trinity movie, which at the time was already out of theatres...and on DVD...and already declining in sales and rentals. I think since the movie was only in theatres for 11 weeks, dedicating a can to it may not have been the best idea. I also don't know if this is a limited run promotional soda, they may not even make it anymore.
As for energy, this beverage was followed by a restful 3 hour nap. I was taking medicine for a cold at the time, so this may have affected things. I can, at the very least, say that this will not counteract the drowsy affects of over-the-counter cold/flu medication.
At the standard $2 price, but for 8.3 oz. of generally unflavored carbonated water, this isn't a great deal. If, on the other hand you are desperately attempting to advance your status in the "goth scene" ranks, this, and a healthy investment at "Hot Topic" are a must for this season's fashion.
