I found Sobe No Fear Sugar Free to be refreshing, and somewhat energizing. I still rank it second to Sobe's Adrenaline Rush. The taste was like a carbonated Gatorade fruit punch, with a hint of artificial sweetener aftertaste. It went down pretty smoothly, but the burp taste is horrific.
Though this drink is relatively low in sodium, it does also have a dentist-office-like saltwater rinse flavor as well.
At $1.99, I'd call this your standard deal on a 160z. soda that's mediocre on energy delivered, and having consumed this beverage, I'm no longer afraid to say that. Thanks Sobe No Fear Sugar Free.

Who's idea was it to take a great flavored drink and mess it up? Who at the drawing board said "You know Sobe No Fear was a great flavored energy drink, we should totally scrap that and make the sugar free version taste like doggie doo doo." To which everyone replied, "That's a great idea!!" Seriously, I was having Omega flashbacks while drinking this. Though the aftertaste was definitely passion fruit, the main flavor was artificial sweetener. Not even a decent sweetener. For those of you who think that all artificial sweeteners taste the same, here's the abridged progression of the artificial sweetener:
Image and Text AdNutrasweet - Made of aspartame which was discovered in 1965, and soon thereafter placed in beverages and foods, to be 300 times sweeter than sugar, but has a horribly bitter aftertaste.
Sweet'N Low - Made of saccharin which was discovered in 1879 and introduced in Sweet'N Low in 1957 to be 300 - 500 times sweeter than sugar, but still maintained an aftertaste. Both were low calorie sweeteners and eventually accused of causing cancer.
Splenda - Made from sugar and contains sucralose is discovered in 1976 and launched in 1991. Splenda has a great taste and no bitter aftertaste. Finally!!
Sugar Free No Fear tastes like someone knocked a bucket of aspartame into each can. This a major step down from the original No Fear, which the flavor was the saving grace, as the energy level was low in both. The website states the it contains 158mg of caffeine which is comparable to a strong cup of coffee a little more than half of a Vivarin.

The can looks just like the original version of No Fear if you took the negative of a picture. It also has a big stamp of Sugar Free, in case you didn't know. It proudly state it only contains one carb.

This is the best energy drink hands down and it always helped to blast me through my workouts. It has a great amount of essential vitamins including grape seed extract which is good for circulation. This drink gives me that rush that lasted for hours every time.

No Fear Sugar Free is simply the best energy drink I have tasted.. It is not harsh, overbearing or like the rest of them. Now the only issue is that I don't seem to be able to find it anymore - All the stores have stopped caring it -- even though it was ALWAYS sold out.

I like most of the Sobe energy products. So i decided why not take the sugar free route? Makes sense, is arguably better for me, why not? Well, i'll tell you why. This may be the worse tasting energy drink i have had to date. I find the taste fairly indescribable, it has the bite that some energy drinks have, but along with that bite is a terrible flavor followed by a gross aftertaste. I would have given this drink a complete 0 rating, but its Just good enough to choke down. After paying $2.50 for a beverage i am going to force it down, also i just need the caffeine at the moment.
