Jason's Review:
Stacker 2 Stinger Pounding Punch tastes like what a melted fruit punch crayon might taste like. All the Stinger flavors have this problem, a waxy film taste. The first few sips of each can is pretty good, but the aftertaste kills. A lot of energy sodas have a medicine-like taste, and unfortunately, this is one of them. I think this would be ok, if the soda was really potent, but it's not that strong. I found myself guzzling it down to keep as little in contact with my taste buds as possible, but still not a lot of energy boost.

Being such a big John Cena fan, I'd hoped the stinger would also transform me into Marky Mark, and hasten my wrestling career. Alas, the WWE showed as little interest in my audition video after drinking the stinger as they did before.

Drinking this was a lot like biting into a tube of cheap Wet 'N Wild lipstick with a hint of fruit. It was neither refreshing nor enjoyable. I couldn't help but think of the scene in Lord of the Rings where Gollum bites into the fish, that's how I felt, but with lipstick instead. Of course this image does little to add to the experience. So I tried to chug it down a little bit faster to see if that would help, but I found it hard to finish. The can seemed to be bottomless, I don't think I could be finished any sooner. Towards the end my stomach started rumbling, I guess that's the 'sting', because it certainly isn't the energy that they're talking about. I also drank the Pounding Punch and Citrus back to back and wanted to take a nap afterwards. This one definatley won't score high in my book.

Active Ingredients:
Caffeine, taurine, b-stack, biotin. I think it's interesting that this contains biotin which most energy drinks do not. Biotin plays a part in fat metabolism, synthesis and release of insulin, as well as the Kreb Cycle which is the process of food releasing energy. So it makes sense that it may be found in an energy drink. Biotin helps maintain steady levels of blood sugar so is also helpful for people with type 2 diabetes. Lastly biotin is used to strengthen hair and nails, so is often found in cosmetic and health care products for hair and skin.

Can Text:

The can is neon pink, with YJ Stinger in the background and a wasp or bee or something in bright orange on the front. It also says Stacker 2 in yellow on the side of the can. This is confusing to me because I'm not really sure what to call this. YJ Stinger Stacker 2 Pounding Punch way too long for a name of an energy drink. You need an energy drink just after saying the name. Pounding Punch is one of four flavors offered by YJ Stinger Stacker 2. It offers 'extreme energy with taurine and b-stack'. After reading this I was curious to find out what this b-stack was. I looked all over the place, I even asked Jeeves, but I couldn't seem to find anything about this b-stack that wasn't in reference to Stinger Stacker 2.

The web address listed on the can (www.stacker2.com) sends you to a pretty decent site, but the site we listed is much more informative as well as entertaining. If you visit it you might notice that Fat Joe is the new face of Stacker 2 to promote their beverage. Somehow I just don't think that Fat Joe sends me the message of high energy. Maybe if they had some B-boy dancers or Carrot Top, anybody whose first name is not 'Fat'.

Omg... must... get this taste... out of my mouth! I just tried the 'sinful citrus' variety of the stacker2 can. I was intrigued by the b-stack, which I believe is the same stuff that the 5-hour energies are based on (I love those little guys) but wow. just... wow. This drink is sinfully nauseating. I can't remark on the energy boost yet as I just drank it, but from the ingredients, I'm hoping it has a more sustained energy level than purely high caffeine load. If it doesn't blow me out of the water with a great, clean, sustained boost, then theres no way I'd buy it again. I had to choke it down. I spent $0.64 on it (thank you, big lots) but wish I would have gone with a Five-O, or a Hydrive. Or a WiredX... but those bad boys are just MONSTROUS with their kick and they frighten me sometimes lol anyway, I've been typing this review for maybe five minutes, and the taste still remains. I'm off to eat/drink something else to clear this atrocity out of my mind.Edited by Chris: When you buy an energy drink at Big Lots for 64 cents, you can generally expect the worst. It's reassuring that the Sinful Citrus tastes as bad as the Stinger Pounding Punch.

Stinger has something good in it! I remember things better. I feel better. I am sharper and more alert. If you are prediabetic this products may help in balancing your blood glucose levels.
