Can Text:

The can is silver and blue, they state around the rim "Unrelenting Thermal Energy Supplement". This drink is about as unrelenting as a 90 year old woman with diarrhea. They also caution that it "May Suppress Appetite", I wonder if this is some cheap ploy to sell drinks to people who think it's a great way to lose weight, like taking up smoking. But then, who would ever question the intentions of a reputable company that would call their energy drink "Kronik"?

Active Ingredients *Per can, not per serving:
Kronik contains a lot of the usual ingredients, taurine, caffeine, ginseng, C and B vitamins, abut also has a host of other ingredients. Ginkobiloba, milk thistle, licorice root, grape seed, and l-tyrosine which I've never heard of until now. L-tyrosine is used by the body to make certain neurotransmitters which help to elevate moods, and keep us alert. Also the text on the can gave me a headache because it was blurry and hard to read the small print.

Angie's Review: Reviews posted after May 2007 are written by a guest reviewer referred to from this point forward as "The Stig".
My expectations for this were much lower than the non low carb Kronik, I guess you can call it high carb Kronik. Once again, I think the can looks good. The soda came out blue, which I really loved. The soda even smelled like grapefruit, which made me think that things might be going in the right direction. But the flavor was pretty bad. It was much like that fake passion fruit flavor with toothpaste. Not like the aftertaste that you get after you brush your teeth, but more like you squeezed half a tube of toothpaste into the can and shook it up, and drank it before you brushed your teeth. Yes, I'll refer again to my previous statement about the high carb Kronik, and say that this had a slight hint of morning breath. They should call it Kronik Energy Diet Fruity Morning Breath.

Jason's Review:
This Unrelenting Thermal Energy Drink was more yielding and quickly gave way to heat. I felt that "thermal" was a questionable choice of words for a soda, I'm assuming they intended this to mean the much more obscure definition that I found, "A discrete buoyant element in which the buoyancy is confined to a limited volume of fluid". Either way, it tasted like diet Sprite with a twist of canned pineapple juice. The taste wasn't that great, but the soda was blue, and made me feel like I was on Star Trek.

The can was also pretty hardcore, with the barbed wire, and the colors and whatnot. I really felt like I should be working in a custom bike shop, with a show on the Discovery channel (which I think owning a custom bike shop is about all you have to do to get a show on the Discovery channel now).

It was pretty energizing, and had a host of rather impressive ingredients. It was so energizing that things got really crazy after I drank it. I started by putting clothes from my closet into a bag to donate, directly afterwards, I got my haircut, and took a shower. I don't remember the details of what happened after that, but I'm sure whatever happened I did it energetically.

We got this drink for $1.99, instead of over $2 (which is what we paid for its sugared counterpart), so that will be reflected in an elevated value ranking.
