Let's start with the good. This drink works, it's not a gimmick and it's particularly affective for exercising and physical activity. On the other hand, I think the flavor is deplorable. It's like having Monday's coffee in one cup holder, and Friday's swill in the other, and unwittingly knocking back that last bit of Friday coffee and backwash in Monday morning traffic. I think your body involuntarily makes the "Robitussin face" when drinking Screamin Energy Shot. It's very strong, very herbal, and somehow still tastes better than the entire Stacker 2 Product Line. The drink is very small, unfortunately, anything larger than a gel-cap is too much for me.
Concerning the energy, I've been (power) walking through the neighborhood in the afternoons. After drinking Screamin Energy Shot, I'm more compelled to move further and am not as affected by big hills. I usually walk about a mile-and-a-half (don't laugh, I didn't move off my computer chair for about 6 years, I'm surprised I can make potty without a personal assistant). After drinking Screamin Enerrgy Shot, I arrive back home from my walks still ready to be up and active.
Price is good too. If this didn't taste as unpardonable as it does, I'd have to consider giving it a perfect 10. Since it does taste like casket leavings, I'm more inclined to tout it's energy and value qualities, and advise you to drink it fast and get the taste behind you as quickly as possible.

After careful consideration, this drink was not as energizing as originally reviewed. Energy ratings have been revised accordingly. Upon careful consideration, the taste is not any better than originally reviewed.

The energy shot continues to gain popularity. Screamin Energy has actually been selling products on their website longer than we've been providing energy drink reviews at Screaming Energy. The website states, "We were the Original Energy Drink in America and we continue to lead the nation in great tasting, effective energy products." Well, I'm not sure about the original, but they appear to be established. So, I'll choose my battles, and the most obvious battle here is the statement, "great tasting". For me, this certainly has a coffee mocha flavor, but it's not pleasing to my palate. It's very herbal tasting, and I probably should have just followed their advice, which is to "Slam it down!". Of course, for the sake of review, I wanted to drink it slowly enough to offer a taste rating. My taste rating on a scale of 1-10 is positively affected by there only being 1.66 fl. oz. in the bottle.
In-Line Ad SpacesThat being said, the place I would whole-heartedly agree is, "effective energy products". After I stopped being a pansy, and drank the rest of this energy shot, I was rewarded with a profound, "get up and go" energy boost. I'd essentially been lazing about since Memorial day (about 4 days), avoiding doing anything like walking to the supermarket (and yes Food Lion is "super"), vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, etc. The things most people like to put off while they take a short 4 hour afternoon nap. Not that day, my friend. I was up and about, marking tasks off my "to do" list so fast, I wished Screamin Energy Shot was around when I skipped writing thank you cards after both my graduations, my wedding shower, and 2001 tax audit that spilled over into 2002 and 2003. I was surprised, since I think ginseng is about as energizing as mop water (note Korean Energy Drink, very likely the least energizing drink we've ever reviewed, and it's got a huge floating ginseng root in it). I'm guessing the caffeine, taurine, and impressive mix of B vitamins are to thank for this profoundly positive affect. And, as I've stated many times, I've never had a "crash", and amazingly I didn't have one after this drink either.
The price is good too, If you buy 24 off the internet, you can get them shipped to your door for about $1.57 each. The retail price is $1.29 each, but buying them isn't really productive unless you can get them to your house somehow.

Screamin Energy Shot contains unspecified amounts of Taurine and Caffeine. It contains 2g of Ginseng. It also contains following % of daily value of these vitamins and minerals: 100% B1, 100% B2, 100% B3, 100% B6, 100% B12, 15% B5, 17% Zinc, 100% A, 100% C. This drink also lists inositol as an ingredient.

Screamin Energy Shot (note the lack of "g"), is a white and red bottle with a silhouette of a tennis player, and black and white image that appears to be a man either in the block ready to run or race, or dead lift some weight. The rest of the bottle is text. "Vitamins, Minerals, Antioxidants", the bottle goes on to state, "2000mg of Ginseng Excellent Tasting Coffee Mocha Flavor". Near the tennis player the smaller text reads, "Wake Up Fast, Feel Great With Screamin Energy Shot". The big text is of course the name, "Screamin Energy Shot". "Long Lasting Energy" is printed down the side, and a starburst reads, "100% Daily Vitamin B12", the other side of the bottle reads, "Vitamins and Minerals". Finally the back provides the most poignant information, "DIRECTIONS: Drinks Straight From Bottle", which explains why there's no, "Cup Sold Separately" text bottle.

I like this energy shot. It can be added to coffee or used like a regular shot. Works nicely, no jitters & no crash. Like to buy them on line & keep them at home. They have nutritional value that other energy shots don't. (shake em up before you drink them)or make espresso shot, add energy shot with little milk.
