Can Text:

Burgundy and black flames (don't ask me) adorn the can that's peppered with white, red, and gold text. It touts that it's "Made In The USA", and is "A Powerful Blast of Vitamins and Herbs". The top has red letters reading "Taurine, Ginseng, Guarana" repeatedly. Humorously, the can has a skull and crossbones with "Recycle or Die", they're kidding of course, aren't they? The can text also specifies that they use filtered water, not a guarantee I've seen on every drink, just thought that was worth noting.

Active Ingredients *Per can, not per serving:
Well, obviously Taurine, Ginseng and Guarana, but also contains the following daily recommended allowance % per serving of the following: Niacin 100%, B6 250%, B12 80%, Pantothenic Acid 50%.

This drink tastes almost like mixing equal parts of Monster Energy and Red Bull. Since these are the industry top dogs, that's not a bad combination to have your drink described as. Based on the gaudiness of the can, and the length of the name, I'd expected this to taste a great deal like Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt Cherry Charge Energy Drink. The taste was almost as surprising as how white Paula Abdul's teeth look on American Idol this year.

Very energizing, didn't cause me to be hyper, or want to take a nap 4 hours later. Smooth and enjoyable energy for the whole family.

At $2.29 from their online store (shipping is cheaper depending on where you live), these are a little above the industry standard $1.99, but since this excels in every other area, I think this is still an average value, and I'd certainly take it over a $1.49-$1.99 8.3oz. Red Bull.

The original Nature's Nitro2Go was the first energy drink that Angie and I ever reviewed. It didn't get the most stellar reviews, and if my memory serves me correctly, we may have leaned toward the side of generosity. Well, it's been a long time since August 15th 2005, and many things have changed in my life during that nearly 2.5 years, but probably the two most notable are my testicle surgery and my opinion of Nitro2Go's product line, with my testicle surgery being a distant second. This drink tastes fantastic, and plenty bold, which is in stark contrast to the original Nitro2Go High Octane Energy Formula Body Fuel. The original was bland and lifeless; FirePower Extreme is Extreme...ly tasty!

From my experience, taste won out by far over energy as the best feature of this energy drink, but again, a vast improvement over their green-canned debacle. Speaking of the can, the design of this can is equally as unfortunate looking.

The best price we could get off the online was $2.29. If this is carried in convenience stores in your area, you'll likely get a better deal than that. But, we have to review it based on what we can get it for, otherwise, we would just make up arbitrary numbers.
