Angie's Review: Reviews posted after May 2007 are written by a guest reviewer referred to from this point forward as "The Stig".
Vault is the Sheryl Crow of energy drinks. Drinks like a soda, kicks like 80 year old diabetic with constrictive socks. With a caffeine content similar to good old fashioned, off the shelf Sun Drop, and only about 10mg more per 12oz. than Mountain Dew, Vault isn't hitting on that much. In fact, regular Jolt Cola still blows it out of the water. The label should read "This is your grandmother's energy drink", or "Drinks like Mountain Roar, kicks like Faygo Moon Mist".
It does taste ok, and I guess 70mg isn't that little caffeine, but it's less than home brewed drip coffee. I would by no means call this an energy drink. If coke hadn't masqueraded it as such, we wouldn't have even reviewed it.
At $.89, at least it doesn't cost more than more 12-16oz. bottled sodas.

7Jason's Review:
I like bass fishing, and Aaron Martens is a sponsored by Vault. Unfortunately, that's about the best I have to say about Vault. The differences between Vault, Mountain Dew, Mello Yello, Sun Drop, and any other citrus soda of that ilk, are marginal, at best. The differences between Vault and something I would consider an energy drink, are vast, at least. I don't particularly think it tastes that great. It's pretty much like a mix of Surge and Mello Yello. It made me a little sick on my stomach.
It's as energizing as a glass of Mountain Dew, and having drank about 6,000 cups of Mountain Dew while serving 2-4 at a county Java development correctional institute for acquiring an Information Systems degree, I know how much a cup of Mountain Dew "kicks", and it isn't much.
If you want a cold generic-tasting citrus soda for less than a buck, and can live with less than 100mg of caffeine (that sounds even less appealing when I write it), then Vault is your soda (errr energy drink).
