New Hype Mfp comes in a cool carbon-fiberish looking can. It really appeals to my azn side and gives me total flashbacks of my illegal street racing days with my old car club Meso Fast and Furious. (That movie got the title idea from us.) All those late nights hanging out in parking lots talking trash and eating noodles. We were crazy back then.
The folks at Hype warn "For maximum enjoyment keep the following in mind: HYPE MFP should be kept safely out of those whose conversations you do not enjoy." Unfortunately he has to review the drink too...
Active Ingredients *Per can, not per serving:
B vitamins, caffeine, taurine, guarana.

Hype Mep is a hard drink for me to review because though I enjoyed the flavor it had a very thick syrupy texture. This was not refreshing at all, this might, just might have something to do with the outrageous 280mg of sodium in each can. This actually made the sides of my tongue a little raw as if I ate a whole salt lick or used half the economy sized Kernal Seasons White Cheddar sprinkles on a small bag of popcorn at the movie theaters. Hypothetically, of course. I'd never really do either of those. Really.
So I really only have a few issues with this drink. First if I wanted to drink a very syrupy drink I would have stuck with Panther or Carabao which at least have a super high sugar content . secondly I have no idea what a Mep is or what that's supposed to mean. Thirdly the incredibly high level of sodium just makes me want to drink water, not really drink the rest of Hype. Having said that the taste was really good, and I think it had a very good energy level for an 8oz can.
Hype has started offering the original Hype flavor in 16oz sizes which leads me to believe that they will eventually do the same for this. Hoorah for all companies who are getting rid of the smaller energy drink size. We are a super sized country, a piddly 8 ounces doesn't do anything for us.
Apparently this is not Hype Mep, but rather M F P. I'm so glad that was cleared up because now it makes so much more sense. Seriously folks, that whole acronym phase of marketing was so last year.

I drink a lot of Hype MFP. Which is good, because I'm fashioning a hood for my super fly '95 Geo Storm with the cans. All I'll need then is some 15-Inch Spinner Wheel Covers in Chrome, Blue LED underbody kit, and the Crittertrail Xtreme Wheel and I'll have the coolest car in the 7th grade.
Srsly, Hype MFP, IMHO, taste like Red Bull, only better. You might be like, [c0nfuz3d] WTF!!?!?!1?!ONE1![/c0nfuz3d], Red Bull has been out forever, what's so great about Hype MFP? Well, for one, I think the taste is a bit more tart (not a woman of the street, but like green apples or lemons might be tart). Hype MFP does have a lot of sodium, but sodium is mined, and so are diamonds, and I don't hear anyone saying that Hype has too many diamonds.
I get about the same "get-up-and-go" from Hype MFP as I do from the original Hype, but I look more cool drinking it, and that's probably the biggest selling point over the original Hype. FYI, the Iranian site touts a Hype Gold, and Hype Lite. I've been told neither are currently distributed in the US. I'm certainly glad that Hype MFP is now available in the states.
Otherwise, the price beats most 8ozish drinks by about 50 cents, and as ol' Ben Franklin said, "A penny saved is a penny earned". He also said "Energy and persistence conquer all things", which means with Hype, all you need is persistence, and you can conquer all things. Snoogans!
